School Council

Lakeside school has had a very active School Council for many years now.  Each academic year, a new school councillor is elected from each class to voice the opinions of their peers, as well as have their own say on things that are important to them in school.

This term, we are looking into exciting games and equipment that could make playtimes and lunchtimes more enjoyable for everyone.

Our Peer Mediators

In September there will be twelve truly wonderful new peer mediators, or playground pals as they like to be called.  All twelve will be in Year 6 and will undertake two days of intensive training, in September, learning valuable skills such as good listening and mediation.

The children will take it in turns each day and are always on duty in pairs.
