As a Christmas treat, we are taking the Year 6 pupils ice-skating to the Ice Factor at Clifford's Tower on Tuesday 16th December. We will leave school mid-morning in order to start skating at 11am and travel by public service bus and return after lunch, therefore your child will require a packed lunch to eat when we return to school. In order for this trip to go ahead, we require the sum of GBP4.95 which includes entrance to Ice Factor plus bus fare.
The necessary risk assessments will be carried out prior to the visit, and there will be sufficient teaching staff and adults on hand in order to ensure a safe environment for your child. However, due to the nature of ice-skating, you should be aware of the likelihood that your child may slip or fall on the ice. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that he/she will avoid such incidents. If you have any concerns or queries regarding this school trip, do not hesitate to contact us.
Please find attached a Parental Consent Form from Ice Factor to be completed and returned to school, children who have not returned this form will not be able to skate.
